Do You Have Crooked, Misaligned Or Unevenly Spaced Teeth That Make You Unhappy With Your Smile? Orthodontics are an effective way to straighten your teeth for a beautiful, natural-looking new smile.

At Lindbergh Dental and Orthodontics we are happy to provide a wide range of orthodontic services for all ages. We offer you or your child the best braces options to improve your smile by straightening your teeth and aligning your teeth, so you have a normal bite. For the vast majority of orthodontic patients, wearing braces will be a major part of treatment. Braces, for the most part, will be the familiar silvery-metal type. But while they’re still popular, traditional-looking metal braces are no longer the only option! Below are some of the options available at Lindbergh Dental and Orthodontics.

Traditional Metal Braces

Metal braces are made of high-grade stainless steel. They consist of metal bands that wrap around the molars in back, and smaller metal brackets that are cemented to the front surfaces of the other teeth. A thin, springy metal wire, running through the brackets, guides the teeth into a proper position over time.. This archwire is most often fixed to the brackets by flexible elastic bands.

Clear Ceramic Braces

Clear ceramic braces provide a far less noticeable method of treatment. They are similar to traditional braces — except that the brackets on the front of the teeth are made of a clear ceramic material that blends in with the tooth’s natural color. This system is also popular for adults because it’s hard to notice they’re there.

Rose Gold Braces

Rose gold braces are similar to traditional metal braces. Like traditional metal braces, rose gold braces are made of stainless steel; however, they are uniquely coated in gold. The rose gold coating is often considered a more cosmetic option than traditional metal braces.

Early Treatment

According to the American Association of Orthodontists, kids should have an initial orthodontic screening at age 7. This is recommended because there are some conditions that are much easier to treat if they’re caught at an early age. Early intervention is most common when a child has severe crossbite or severe overcrowding. Early intervention may also be helpful in resolving several other problems such as protruding teeth. Orthodontic appliances, including braces and headgear, can be successfully used to correct these problems at this stage, thereby increasing the chances of avoiding future surgery.
